Who runs CF4CF
CF4CF is run by the independent organiser of Childfree India. It is not a company and is not affiliated with any app, matrimony site, subreddit or organisation. To ask a question about your data, use the contact form and choose "Privacy question".
What we collect, and why
| What | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| First name or alias | So the organiser and, if you agree, a proposed match know what to call you. |
| Age | To confirm you are an adult and to match age preferences. |
| City and state | To suggest people who could realistically meet you. |
| How you describe yourself, and who you'd like to meet | To suggest introductions you would actually want. You describe this in your own words. |
| Short bio, what you are looking for, partner preferences | To judge whether two people might suit each other. |
| Lifestyle preferences (optional) | Only if you choose to add them, to avoid obvious mismatches. |
| One contact detail | So the organiser can send you private links. It is shared with a match only if you both agree. |
| Your confirmations and consents, with dates | To show you agreed to each step. |
We do not collect government IDs, exact addresses, photos, sterilisation status, or anything about fertility, health, religion, caste or income. Please do not include these in your free-text answers.
Security check: the application and contact forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block automated spam. It runs a check in your browser and sends the result to Cloudflare. We use it only to stop bots, not to track you.
Abuse protection: to limit repeated submissions, we keep short-lived counters linked to a one-way hash of your network address, never the address itself. They are deleted within 2 days.
Who can see your application
- The organiser, through a dashboard that requires signing in. Nobody else has access.
- One proposed match at a time, and only the details you agreed to share with that person, only after they also agree.
- Your contact detail is shown to a match only if you both choose to exchange contact details.
- Cloudflare hosts the website and the database as our service provider. Your data may be stored on servers outside India.
Nobody can browse applications. Nothing is published. We do not sell data, show ads or use tracking or session-recording scripts.
How long we keep it
| Data | Deleted |
|---|---|
| Your application | Straight away if you delete it. Otherwise automatically after 1 year with no activity on it. |
| Closed applications | 30 days after being closed. |
| Introductions | Links stop working after 21 days if unanswered. Records are deleted 90 days after an introduction finishes, or straight away if either person deletes their application. |
| Blocked applications | Deleted after 30 days. A one-way hash of the contact detail is kept for 1 year to stop repeat abuse. |
| Reports sent through the contact form | 1 year after the report is closed. |
| Backups | The database keeps a rolling 7-day recovery history. Deleted data can remain in it for up to 7 days, then it is gone. |
A daily automatic job applies these rules.
Seeing, pausing and deleting your data
After you apply, you get a private link. It lets you see everything we hold about you, pause or resume matching, and delete your application. Deleting removes your application and any introductions involving you from our database straight away, apart from the 7-day backup history described above. Anyone who has your link can do these things, so keep it private.
If you lose the link, use the contact form and choose "Delete my application". Before deleting anything, we will confirm the request by messaging the contact detail on your application.
If you have already exchanged contact details with someone, we cannot delete what they saw or saved. You can ask them directly.
How it is protected
- The site uses HTTPS. The dashboard is protected by Cloudflare Access sign-in, and every request is checked again on the server.
- Private links use long random codes. We store only a one-way hash of each code.
- Private pages are never cached or indexed by search engines.
- No method is perfectly secure. If we ever learn of a breach affecting your data, we will tell you through your contact detail.
